A Patient Man

H A construction would like to tip our hard hats to a valued customer Gary Gauger, who was very patient with us while we took all summer to build him a storage shed for his lake house.
With shake siding and cedar finishes, the design of the shed matches the lake house. Gary, I and his lovely wife Jeanne worked on the design and added the deck for the shed after the shed was built.
The shed took much longer than it should have because it was a project I decided to do in my off time. (evening and weekends) this made it a little cheaper to build and gave me a chance to take my time, and even get a chance teach my oldest son Zach a lot about framing.
The project was a lot of fun and I feel I have gained a great friendship with Both Gary and Jeanne in the interim.
Please take a moment to check out the pictures I have put on the website. The finished shed is so cute it is almost cartoon like. you might expect to see Snow white out sweeping the deck
Andy,

Smith's Restaurant

I am pleased to present, Smiths Restaurant, at 935, N. Glenstone Springfield mo. opened for business on July 25 2010,
H A construction completed all front of the house construction by recycling barn wood from local barns and created a warm rustic dinning experience with a river rock fireplace, and a relaxed decor'
H A construction, also hand built all the booths and tables throughout, using cedar log supports and copper screens dividing the booths to allow for private dinning,
The Slate floors run throughout the front of the house and in the private banquet rooms, with fun natural colors and patterns to keep them from looking monotonous.
In addition to the interior improvements the exterior has been completely landscaped and painted, with new signage and new tile roof stain, and a waterfountain at the entrance to the restaurant.
These are just a few highlights of the overall remodeling done for the Smith's restaurant.
We are hopeful for them and their success in the Springfield market

Smith's Restaurant

We are proud to have been chosen, as the Contruction company ushering in a great home, cook style Restaurant to the Springfield area.

The Smiths' have established a reputation for good food and great service in the Bolivar area, and, besides the locals, much of their clientele travels from the greater Springfield area to dine.

All receipts and spice mixes are created by the Smiths' family and they are famous for their pies and desserts, making this restaurant a wonderful addition to the list of food service establishments in Springfield.

With a tight opening date in July, we will be working very closely with with Caleb Smith, redesigning the front of the house, establishing an ambiance of warmth and relaxation. We will be adding a fireplace to the waiting area and darker finishes on the floor and trim. We will also be constructing some fun log themes and country wood work canopies to accentuate the home cooking that is such a hit with the Smiths restaurants.
When you walk into the Smiths restaurant, you are going to want to kick your shoes off.

In the Kitchen H. A. Construction will be adding the necessary plumbing and electrical to run state of the art commercial kitchen equipment. We will help in planning locations for work stations, shelving and utilizing all the space in the kitchen practically and efficiently.
We will also be expanding the office area, making it large enough to run the business, as well as,
have a place for management to escape and de-stress once in a while.
H.A. Construction hopes to be a great temporary partner to Smiths restaurants in helping to establish their business in the Springfield area.

Nick's extraordinary cabinet work

Nick's extraordinary cabinetry work....................................

It is important for H.A. construction to employ valuable carpenters if the company is going to be successful in the remodeling business.

Nick Has been no exception. His devotion to high end cabinetry work has been superb. He is very talented and works with great pride paying close attention to detail, and bringing a project to completion within a predetermined time frame.

Nick leaves our customers with jaw dropping amazement and satisfaction,

One project in particular that has been recently completed is an antique gun, display case built for a family that is beginning to take foster kids. Not wanting to hide a gun collection in an ugly green safe, nick designed the cabinet to be secure yet attractive in a home. The locked cabinet doors also cleverly lock the drawers from inside the cabinet, securing safely all contents.

H.A. construction has devoted a photo set in its gallery for displaying some of Nick's work.

I think you will like what you see...............

Mr. Eddingtons Garage

hey folks, take a moment and check out the detached garage we are building for Mr. Eddington. It is 32'x26' with an 18' garage door and a little porch on the north end.
This garage really will work nice for Mr. Eddington. It has a "stand up storage space in the attic" and the north end of the garage is reserved for the John Deere mower and work space.
Mr. Eddington was able to get a lot of garage for the money by having H.A. construction pour footings, foundations, and floors, as well as do the framing, the exterior and electrical, leaving the interior finish for a later date.
With the savings Mr. Eddington is able to stay within a budget and not have to settle for a metal building, or a pole barn that would not have matched his house.

H.A. construction is known, by its customers to go to great lengths to help a project fit into a set budget.

EPA Lead paint regulations

The new lead paint laws are set to go into affect Apr 22. The EPA has determined the year 1978 to be significant, because, prior to that date, paint manufactures were using lead additives in the pigment of their paints. While the lead paint additive presented no heath risk in its application at the time, in present day, it has posed a potential heath risk, particularly in the remodeling business. H.A. construction has all the EPA certification and training required to test for lead paint and safely remove and dispose of it. Give me a call if you have any questions about the new regulation or if you are considering a remodeling project!

It's Time to Plan

If you're considering a remodeling project for your home to be ready for summer parties, it's a good idea to contact your remodeler this spring. Sometimes changes in the design and obtaining the necessary permits can delay the start of your project. At HA Construction, we can work with you on your timeline to make sure we've planned for the time needed for permits and ordering materials. Now is the time to think about that new sunroom, deck or patio.
